“Communism will come later”

This is what one of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) leaders (not sure if it was Prachanda or Bhattarai) said while talking to the BBC just as it was becoming clear that the CPN was heading for a landslide victory.

The CPN wants to show that it has changed. It is now in favor of multi party democracy and capitalist policies so that the country can progress. China’s progress is a great example for them. But they have not discarded communism. It has been kept on the back burner for some time.

Of what use is a goat that is only skin and bones? Let it graze. Let it fatten. Then it can be slaughtered for its meat. That is what has been left unsaid. That, is what communism is all about.

Communism will come later. Yes it will.

Why would you want to do that? Communism is one of the most perverted philosophies ever to be invented. Under the guise of a classless society, what it preaches is a rule of the mob and complete decimation of individual identity and freedom. Go and read about it (histories of countries like USSR, China and Cuba) before you think of doing any such thing.

As for telling you how to build a communist party, I have no idea how to do that. And I wouldn’t tell you even if I knew about it. I have no interest in seeing millions of people being forced to suffer and die all in the name of the public good.
